the thing is, when you have a leopard (codominant/dominant) you get a "het pied" with it for free in 99%+ of the cases.

so a super leopard has 2 copies of leopard, and two copies of het pied. and a leopard pied has 1 copy of leopard and 2 copies of het pied. and a regular piebald has just 2 copies of het pied.

generally you can say (almost?) all leopards are het pied, also in combos. but recently there seems to have been a case where the two genes came apart, it seems like there may now be a line of leopard that is not het pied. which would mean the two genes are almost on the same location of a chromosome, but not quite. but the jury is still out.
Super leopards just need 2x leopard, the pied is just an extra. There has supposedly already been two super leos produced that are not homozygous pieds (im not sure if they are heterozygous) and im also unsure how closely related they are. Also I think it's too soon to really put a number on how often it happens, they used to say 99% about the banana/cg also and now they say its more around 90%. With the linkage alluding us for all these years, you would expect it to be a high number though.
