    iOS 7 has more options to conserve power, and is better optimized. I really wasn't a fan of it at first either, but it's really grown on me. I still prefer the aesthetic of the previous iOS versions, but functionality wise iOS 7 is worth it. (to me at least)

    I think it makes a difference. I use my Facetime frequently, and that was a mess before the update. Now it works seamlessly for me. Hope it helps with your battery! Good luck.
