I have the s3 and usually charge once a day, it really depends on how much I use it. Using the internet kills my battery, probably not so much the internet but the fact that the screen is on.
Some thing that may help would be dimming the screen as much as you can or using auto dimming if that's available, I also shut off wifi where it isn't available or your phone will continue to search for a connection which drains the battery.
It kinda sounds like your battery may be going bad, I read the iPhone6 should be out in May.
