Are you using a fixed focal length for the portrait style shots?

The face on that Vanilla Pewter is perfect! That's one of my favorite things about pythons. SO many of them have that "dumb sweet puppy" look going on.

On the shallow DOF pics, I am using an old 50mm f/1.4 Minolta manual focus lens set to an aperture of 2.8. The other pics are taken with a 20mm f/2.8 AF prime. I tend to prefer prime lenses unless I am just out and about and need really quick point and shoot ability.
