With two of them in there you may want to take out the hide, then put it back when you remove the male so she can spend a day in it before you feed her. The other reason to remove it, which I discovered the hard way, is that it will be one less thing to deep clean after their session. Or to put it another way, my female pees like a racehorse and wags her tail like a puppy dog when her boyfriend arrives... you can imagine the mess...
