the hide doesn't stay same as outside temps since it provides shade,so the pad is def a good thing. I leave my UTH matt set at 89-91 .. Glad it's working for you pal

Glad in your whole 4 months of experience your tape hasn't been a problem yet.Attention: PIT On The Prowl,notice his specific details..specific!!!! About u can only use hot glue to hold down the probe..I been using a tiny piece of aluminum tape for 4 months now and never an issue,never once..but Pitt see the specific details!so yes!it will matter where u place the probe<~~~~see

But hey, I'm sure you know better.
Just remember Mark's advice when the inevitable happens. We will still be willing to help. The snake mainly.
Try the search function once in a while - it will make you a better keeper. Also think about getting a temp gun - it really does make spot checking a whole lot easier.
