Well when you put 2 different species together things don't always go to plan. You can lose a lot of the hatchlings, the hatchlings can be unpredictable in their care requirements, you need to be prepared for deformities etc.
Think of it this way. If you tried to build a car out of parts from an old Mercedes and a Ford some of the parts aren't going to work together properly.

I've built a few cars with mixed parts! Actually a lot of offroad vehicles with a ton of mixed parts. Not all that hard to do with a plasma cutter and welder, but that doesn't exactly work with animals.
But by FAR one of the most gorgeous hybrids ive seen was a BATEATER a reticulated python and a burmese soo gorgeous up close my wifes new favorite python
