I can tell you I did not lose sleep over it, I have never had a personal conversation with the people involved. Being in the reptile hobby is as close to the event as I came, but I no doubt generally felt bad for what happened, the lives that were lost and also felt bad for the people who were affected by it. Just a little empathy.
Or closer to home when Steve Irwin died. Oh I said it..

I actually said "that sucks" and laughed a bit at the "what the **** Dwayne" shirts. Didn't donate, didn't fret. I guess I may have taken a closer look at my connections and heat tape and what not but no, I didn't linger any longer there than I have here.

If your mom got run over by a Mack truck would you lol and post pics to your facebook? Just curious what it would take, if anything, to get you to feel a little compassion for another human being...
    Lucifer Sam, Siam cat...
    Always sitting by your side,
    Always by your side...
    That cat's something I can't explain...

At that point, I would have compassion. But, that's a scenario that really fits all the criteria I've gone over in this thread.

Well, it's good to see you're not completely heartless...

Its not like if I was there I'd just keep walking down the street. But, yeah, it didn't happen near me or to someone I personally know so I have plenty of other things to worry and be concerned over.

If you're directing this at me, I can quite assure you I need no satisfaction or approval from you, or anyone else, about how "hard" I am. If anything, I'm simply apathetic to the entire situation.
