I agree, it is no one else's business about what you've spent and how much. I do tell my friends should they ask but my family wouldn't understand (they are as far from snake lovers as you can imagine).

I know what you mean. If i were to announce on this forum that i bought a dreamsicle for $800 (I wish) everybody would congratulate me and ask how i got such a steal. If i told the same exact thing to my co workers and my family they would look at me like i lost my damn mind.
