Re: humidity.
my ambient room temp is between 75-80 degree. my uth does not have a thermostat and i will be sure to get one as soon as i wake up. i will also change his substrate to cypress mulch more than likely. Im getting a 40 gal tank tomorrow so ill be able to set it right this time with temp and humidity and all. so let me make sure i have this right for the hot side temp should be between 88-92 degree and cold side 78-82 degree. humidity should range between 40%-50% and when sheding around 70&. i am going with the cypress mulch more than likely. one more question should i have thermometers on both hot and cold side?

Re: humidity.
thanks man, hes a little over a foot long. i got him on the 1st on this month so its only been 6 days and i love it. i handle him once or twice a day for about 30 mins. is that ok?

When I get a new snake I handle them once they eat a meal. (to clarify I give them at least a day and a half to digest first) If they're eating that to me says they're comfortable enough in their new home. In the case of my newest girl she ate two days after arriving. I've started handling her a five minutes here and there. If she were to stop eating, I'd stop handling.

I wouldn't handle him more than once a day and preferably a couple times a week. If he is eating good I guess once per day would be Ok. He will probably need time to adjust to his new enclosure and since it's pretty big I'd leave him be until he eats for you

Actually it's the opposite... feed him in his enclosure. It is less stressful on the snake and less chance of you getting bit. 99% of the people on here feed in the snakes everyday enclosure.
As for the uth and thermostat, you have to buy those separate.
If you have to order the thermostat online, get a light dimmer to control the uth until the thermostat comes in.
The thermometer you can get at Walmart
