    Dang thats a lot of blood from that rat. I feed both live and f/t and I never see that much blood.

    I know right? I think that's the most blood I've seen from a BP (which is probably what inspired me to take the picture ). The only other time I see that much blood is when I feed my emerald tree boa.....

    This is why I use a hook to open the tubs and hemostats to hold the food on feeding day.

    It would be different if I was dealing with retics , bloods, or the larger Morelia species.

    Same with my Kocur...my ghost ball python is a beast when feeding,but when he's not eating,super cool and very sweet and easy. His temperament is amazing,not a mean bone in his little body
