Found this thread on google, thought I would resurect it lol. Just throwing it out there its 2013, and the average price for a male banana is 1500. I just thought it was interesting reading peoples predictions from 2 years ago to how it has played out since. Im guessing they will be under 1k by 2014.

Given that the thread was created only 3 years + 3 months ago, its actually very interesting to look at the first posts and the prices being discussed there.

30000 --> (12000 --> 4000) --> 1500. (the stuff in brackets is guesstimated / extrapolated, may be higher may be lower, the message stays the same). Quite a dramatic drop from year to year.

EDIT: with the post below from Kodieh taken into account, it looks even more grim:

30000 --> (9000 --> 2500) --> 700 Good to know for future codominants, but then the male-maker thing may also have affected this specific codominant morph.

One third of the global economy relies on technology that is based on quantum mechanics, especially quantum electrodynamics (electron-photon or electron-electron interactions). If you disagree, send me a PM.
Time Dilation is real, it is so real that all clocks if they are precise enough can measure it, and GPS could not possibly work without it.

Not to disprove you or anything, but I've seen $700 males posted. That's single gene though.

Especially considering that this thread was started by a one post wonder. Hmm, I wonder if there was any axe to grind there?

I didn't even notice that! Well he/she certainly need up a storm! I hadn't seen single genes at 700. I guess I'll buzzy continue to hold out on adding one of these beauties to the collection. I love the coral glow pieds and clowns.

I imagine if pet stores had them their would be many impluse buys and an explosion of python owners lol

I read the first post and just started scratching my head... then I saw the date.

Yup, won't find me buying any single gene animal for more than 10x base (we'll call base 100 bucks) because sooner or later they will all get there.

Re: Banana males taking a 20K price drop!!??

Funny to see that they all knew the price would fall, but thought it would take much longer and not go so low. Kinda like now you see people justifying buying one for 1500 cause they will make a ton of cash on 1K babies next year. One year from now they will be $200-$300.

I think that they will also bring a lot of people into the hobby like Pieds and Albinos have though. They are a beautiful morph.
