    What do you do?

I'm an EDI analyst for a medical claims clearinghouse. I read the raw files and tell the doctors' billers what they're doing wrong when they bill your medical/hospital/dental visits to your insurance company.

    Re: What do you do?

At the moment, absolutely nothing. Waiting on a disability claim, I'm visually impaired among other things. Loath the term blind as a collective descriptor because most blind people can still see light and color. Currently trying my hand at writing, we'll see how it goes. I'm also a certified diesel mechanic but at this point I've been using the diploma as a coaster. Large laminated items really keep spills from sinking into wood. I've also been a home health aid, a maid, a housecleaner, a teacher (only a year and not on the books, the original teacher came down with cancer and the substitute spent his time wandering around chatting, for the most part. Only had to fail one student, so all considered it worked out), and a cashier. I also used to sell artwork but creating on 2D (no matter how large, and they got huge - I dislike working on things under three feet) gives me optical migraines that kept getting worse, finally moving on to sculpture instead.

I'm a Dog Groomer and I also train dogs on the side. All of my jobs have been in animals - I started as a kennel worker, then went to a bather in a grooming salon and then worked with an extremely well-known show dog handler for a short amount of time (she and a dog named Hickory won Westminster in 2011 - a Scottish Deerhound). I didn't like the way she treated her dogs, so I went back to grooming. I'm very into purebred, working dogs. They're my love - aside from snakes.

I've been living in a time warp to the 1950's for the passed nine years, so I don't actually do anything for a living. But sometimes I sell art and my sketches have appeared (paid an unpaid/as a favor) in a couple books.
