wrong snake, compensation?

If it was the seller's mistake, the seller should make it right. I would request a refund for the snake and ship it back and take my money elsewhere personally. I don't feel that it's right to take your money and send you the wrong snake and only offer an option of spending more money with them to get the snake you originally paid for.

How did you pay for the snake and what breeder? I missed it possibly but I'm posting from a cell phone so it wouldn't of been hard.

I would also let him know you're going to post a review.

He sent me the right morph, but not the one advertised in the add , instead he sent me a young low quality that was already Browning out and mostly tan, and yes I asked for a specific one pictured and he said he still had it.I and others on here looked at the pattern and it is not the same snake, the one he sent wasn't even in the add.

This right here...if he didn't send you the snake advertised (the one pictured) and then sends you one completely different is shady and unethical business. Unless its sold as a "grab-bag" style sale where they have multiples of a morph and you are knowingly getting one at random...this is inexcusable.

I would give him one chance to make it right, if he refuses then I would make a Bad Guy post about him on the BOI. This kind of behavior if not stopped now could hurt other people who do business with them. The BOI frowns upon people not using authentic pictures of the animal for sale...not the first time someone has gotten a bad guy thread for stealing someone's picture and selling that animal as if they had it. Those people are called scammers.

IIRC from the OP's other thread it's a 2013 male pastel and the shipping cost was almost equal to the price he paid for the snake. If I were the breeder I would just send the correct snake and tell the OP to keep the other low-quality male pastel as my rep is worth a lot more than that. Also, the OP is (I assume) fairly new to BP's and may not even feel comfortable packing up and shipping out a live reptile, I know I'm not.

There are way to many great breeders out there with quality animals and good customer service to waste time going back and forth with someone shady. I would ask for a refund or the original snake you wanted. then post your experience on the boi. then wash your hands of it. I would never ever buy anything off of him again.

I wouldn't even deal with that if I were you. You should get cash refund, and buy from a reputable breeder. What if you pick one that he gets, and he sends you something cheap, again?? Then you're wasting your time, and money.
