OMG. I had that happen with a Rufous Beaked years ago. I tried to get it out by putting a pinkie down and all and it was a no go. I then got a bit sad when I realized what was about to happen next. I went to the shed and got the hammer and I completely dismantled a $300 love couch(Ashley Furniture). Then I found my little guy coiled up between some of the wooden beam things inside. I was so happy to see him but so sad that I just destroyed a couch that wasn't even a year old.Originally Posted by MootWorm
I was terrified of holding my female hognose when we first got her. She weighed less than my rat pinkies, and was so delicate looking. I've since gotten over it, but I'm still extra careful when I handle her, especially now that I know how fast she is! I think the biggest issue (for me, at least) with the smaller/lighter snakes is that if you get distracted for even a moment, you can lose them so easily. They're just so dang light and quick! I almost lost my girl in the couch lol. Didn't even notice her slither off my lap
