Re: which are you more comfortable with?
I enjoy slower snakes, too. I'm a generally calm person. I like my snakes to be similar in that aspect! Speaking of which... I really wish my male BCI would calm down a little....

Don't ever get a Rufous Beaked. They never sit still.

I was terrified of holding my female hognose when we first got her. She weighed less than my rat pinkies, and was so delicate looking. I've since gotten over it, but I'm still extra careful when I handle her, especially now that I know how fast she is! I think the biggest issue (for me, at least) with the smaller/lighter snakes is that if you get distracted for even a moment, you can lose them so easily. They're just so dang light and quick! I almost lost my girl in the couch lol. Didn't even notice her slither off my lap

OMG. I had that happen with a Rufous Beaked years ago. I tried to get it out by putting a pinkie down and all and it was a no go. I then got a bit sad when I realized what was about to happen next. I went to the shed and got the hammer and I completely dismantled a $300 love couch(Ashley Furniture). Then I found my little guy coiled up between some of the wooden beam things inside. I was so happy to see him but so sad that I just destroyed a couch that wasn't even a year old.

Re: which are you more comfortable with?
I'm just worried about his future. He's not the nicest snake ever. He's fine with my hands but he will go for my face as soon as he smells it. Really sucks, because I don't want him doing that when he's 5 + feet long. Hopefully he'll get better with time but no progress so far. He was fine after his last shed but a week after that he started acting up again. :/ Idk.. I don't re home pets. If I buy an animal, it's with me for it's/my entire life period. So I do hope that he tames out.
