I have never fed before the first shed. After first shed they get their own enclosure and then I give them 2 days. Often hatchlings hit during first offer.
Long story short - 9 days out of the egg.

I don't know of anybody who has fed prior to first shed, but I'd say let them adjust a day or two after that initial shed because the fact they've never shed before. Also gives them a bit more time to clean out their system.
I normally wait until after the first shed as well. I did have one hatchling eat this year technically eat before the first shed. She was the only left in the clutch that had not shed. She seemed really interested so I tossed in a mouse. After I was done feeding everyone and went back to check and make sure everyone had eaten the mouse was gone and she had shed.
