Looking to get a 2nd snake...possibly a 3rd questions.
So, after falling head over heels with my Normal BP, Juju Kaa I've decided that I'd love to have a 2nd snake. A part of me definitely wants a BP morph...I think the black axanthic ball python is gorgeous...but kinda want a leucistic Rat Snake too. So here are a few questions...
1) What breeders or sellers do u recommend?
2) My BP is in a 20 gallon terrarium...Would It stress her if I moved her to a rack system with the 2 other snakes?
3) do they have enclosures designed for just three snakes?
4) Can a different type of snake be in the rack system with the BP's?

Just got my first about 3 weeks ago. Ghost BP. I am going to the reptile convention on Long Island Oct 13 and looking to probably buy a second BP,baby ofcourse. I'm happy with my little guy right now, that's why I want another. I really liked Pieds and bananas. But depending on money I may just go with a reg BP,the babies run super cheap. Like $25-$50. Imma look for the same breeder I bought my ghost from.
anyway, good luck with your snake and the second one.
as for enclosures,I have a 55 gallon long.i am going to put a divider in the middle and have each side set up for each snake. From my knowledge they can live together, but it's really preferred that they don't. I won't do it.

Ok! Congratulations on taking the plunge into the most addictive (also best) hobby ever! So let's get to your questions.
1. I've had great luck with local breeders found through FaunaClassifieds, but some online sellers are just great. Garrick at RoyalConstrictorDesigns in wonderful to work with.
2. She'd probably be even better off with a rack system. BPs are ground dwelling snakes that live most of their life in rat burrows underground. A rack system mimics their natural habitat pretty wonderfully.
3. Sure, but I guarantee that three isn't enough! But, personal recommendation, I love CSerpents racks. I've had others, but his are flawless.
4. Without question. I house my hatchling BPs in the same rack as a hognose snake and a California kingsnake, and my adults share a rack with a carpet python and a red tailed boa. Just be sure that their temperature requirements are very close.
Good luck! Keep us posted on what you wind up deciding on.

Ugh, my royal BP is a lazy pooh.....I feel like she's constantly in her hide night and day...she's active when I hold her. Anything I can do that will make her more active at night?

Thanks so much for all your advice! I'm actually really looking into getting 2 more snakes, one being a BP and the other a different kind. I either want an axanthic BP or a Black Pewter BP!

Okay, so I'll answer these:
1) It all depends on what morph and type of snake you're looking for. Certain breeders focus on certain morphs while others focus on something different. Also they may focus on certain species, so you have to figure out exactly what you're looking for. Another factor coming into play is the quality of the morph you're after if you decide another BP.
2) I would switch to a rack system becaus aquariums take up space and you don't want to keep the BPs all in the same tub or aquarium. Racks hold humidity better and are more space friendly.
3.) Yes they do, you can get racks that only have 3 slots and since you're in Florida you can get it cheaper versus having to pay the shipping. I can refer you to a person who does racks and is very popular. I have a few of his racks myself.
4.) You can, but it's generally not recommended because different species thrive in different temperatures and humidity levels along with other reasons.

0.1 - Poicephalus senegalus - Stella (Senegal Parrot)
0.1- Poicephalus rufiventris - Alexa (Red-bellied Parrot)

Thanks so much for the help Neal! I'll gladly take all your references! I'm in Florida so that's awesome to hear. I'm actually driving down to Miami to see family and wondered if they had places there I could check out. I lived in Miami for a while but I was sixteen and not allowed to have a snake :-( thanks for all your advice! I truly appreciate it
