That was the most mature thing I've seen you post. I have to give you props for coming on here and trying to make amends for your comments.
Some friendly advice for the future. Think very carefully before you post. I spend a while constructing a controversial posts. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but sometimes those opinions are going to step on a lot of toes. So if you have things to say that you know is going to get under people's skin, than you have to be prepared for the backlash, and be prepared to support your argument. I don't think anyone was upset that you didn't like ball pythons - people were angry that you generalized the ball python community as greedy and abusive when it comes to our animals and that's just not true. Yes, there is a number of people who do not take proper care of their animals, and without making this personal, a drawer is not an appropriate enclosure for a boa. So you came across as someone who was both judgemental and hypocritical. That's where you were met with hostility.
I have a buddy who let his RTB die because he didn't take proper care of it, and he is a reptile hobbyist. Doesn't like ball pythons, has bloods, boas, carpets. I have never had a health issue with the exception of minor respiratory infections which I treated immediately. I am a much more responsible herp keeper than he is, and I have a substantial amount of ball pythons compared to other reptiles I keep. But it just goes to show that the type of reptile one prefers says nothing about how well they take care of said animals.
I do appreciate this post, and it's the first step towards fixing the damage your reputation has taken.
Goodluck.
Regards,
Chris.
