Re: Does Your Snake HATE The Spray Bottle?
I don't understand why people need to spray BP's in the first place?? Call me nuts, but I've never misted anything other than a hatchlings tub and that's only before they shed for the first time.

my bp hates being misted, i try not to spray her directly but if some gets on her she darts for the whichever hide is close to her lol my albino male burmese dont really like it either but he dont try to hide, he just hisses at me xD my female burmese likes it, and everytime i open the door or turn the light on in the room shes always at the front of the cage looking at me. i just give her a small mist and she lays there without hissing and enjoyes it. my retic was awesome when it came to misting, he loved it and would even drink from the bottle too

On the surface we're trying to get moisture in the air rapidly(humidity). However, in actualality the droplets are too big and fall downward. It may give a very short term effect who knows, maybe a study should be done.
On the flip side, spraying does a better job covering a the substrate for hydration over pouring. And that WILL work better than just pouring to humidify because you have your water more evenly thinned and spread out.
I do both, pour and spray, that way I'm using both, short term and long term treatment.

Mine actually doesn't seem to mind it very much. Granted Ive had him for 4 weeks and 2 were just spent shedding. I've found he spends a day or two just hangin out in one of his suction cupped plants once in a new environment, then when he gets used to it he goes in his hide and never comes back out hahah. I've not once had him hiss at me though when misting the cage (and I had to do it a LOT the past couple weeks) or changing the water, even while in shed. I think my guy is just scared by everything.. Never really defensive, though... Just a whimp. Today to really see how he felt about it though I actually sprayed the back half of his body with some tropical mist as he was mosying about his tank and nothing! Didn't even flinch.
