Re: Does Your Snake HATE The Spray Bottle?

I'd be willing to bet most snakes hate the spray bottle because they're all toasty and you mist them with some cold water. Simply put.

Have you ever jumped into a swimming pool that was cold as h-e-(double hockey sticks)? It sucks. Its probably worse when you have to warm your blood up manually.

I don't try to spray her but if she happens to get misted its a small price to pay for a guaranteed full belly every week.

Re: Does Your Snake HATE The Spray Bottle?

My snake hates the spray bottle, and I don't even spray inside the tank...but I think her previous owner did.

My beardie absolutely loves it. He hates his baths, though. He just tolerates them. Lol

Actually, they can hear. I hear this said so often I actually went ahead of schedule on posting back issues of the Reptile Times so I could link the article for you. After quite a bit of research and digging through studies and scientific papers, turns out...snakes CAN hear. They just don't care what we're saying.

Re: Does Your Snake HATE The Spray Bottle?

    LOL.

I'm actually working on a series of videos and articles about reptile sight and color vision. Here's the link to the first one.

Takes a hot minute to sift through research articles and papers, but I'm hoping to be able to find more info on reptile sight, including snakes, to help us better understand their needs and/or better enrich their lives. Lotta interesting stuff out there
