popping seems very easy when watching those youtube videos, however it's everything but easy .. it probably took me about 100 tries on different snakes to get the technique and ammount of pressure right - before that they all seemed like females to me too, because I wasn't able to pop anything out .. but now it's the easiest thing in the world to get a hemipene out however I still double or tripple check when I think I have a female
