Breeding spiders together
I have a question about breeding spiders. I am looking at breeding spider fire to a vanilla spider for the odds of getting a few more project animals and having decent animals for sale also.
Will breeding the spiders to each other increase the chance of wobel etc?

I've never looked up the issue but I've came across it by chance with searching for other stuff. If I'm not mistaken and please don't take me for sure because I could of misread it and it's been awhile, also I have no first hand experience with it. The threads that I've came across talk about the spider x spider being deadly or something with none of them making it through though nobody could actually provide an evidence or the original source regarding it.

Re: Breeding spiders together
There is a lot of speculation about this and honestly there should be no issues. A spider that has very little wobble bred to a normal could produce an extreme wobbler and a really bad wobble could produce mild ones.... It should not have any impact at all honestly.
Knowledge is earned not learned.

I say go for it. I do not see or know of any problems. Good luck!

Spider wobble is completely individual, so there's no more risk of wobble than crossing a spider to a normal. You might get some extreme ones alongside very minor ones.
Here is a useful thread about the odds of hatching a spider x spider clutch, if you were to go that route:
http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...pider-x-spider
In summary, it's hard to prove that spider x spider is deadly, but many of the odds point to a 25% chance of fatality in the clutch.

Kevin from NERD mentions that in his "lethal genes" video. Mentions it's all speculation and there's no evidence to support it. Also, he says he's done it multiple times with zero issues.

The fact remains that some clutches will result in fatalities simply because the sire and dam aren't compatible. We've seen it happen before. Spiders may not be any different, and there's no real way to tell until all of everyone's spider x spider clutches don't take. There are exceptions to every rule, but so far, the spider fatality thing is more of a guideline.
