Still getting lighter every 3 to 4 sheds.

OK. So I emailed the breeder I picked her up from asking if he could provide me with pairing information. Unfortunately he could not - I don't judge. Moving on. For the last year I've noticed that every 3 to 4 sheds she just gets brighter. I'm ok with this, no concerns, but i wish I knew a little more about her. A buddy of mine has one as well about the same age and we compare them and mine just shines when compared to his. I'm very pleased with how she is turning out as she ages and I'm not hoping for some magical gene here. Everywhere else I looked to compare they seem to get darker (more specifically the pin pattern). She is just the opposite. She is Pastel x Butter x Pin (7/2011). That's all I know about her, besides the fact she doesn't miss meals. Here are a few pics under the tree (keeping the bright sun off her). Enjoy.

She's not a super, look at that purple head!!!

Her whites are outrageous and blushing is spot on.

She just will not stay still...

Her bottom third is the darkest part but even that is starting to lighten up..

She just broke the 1000 g mark today.

    its quite crazy.

i dont know whats going on here, but there is something going on. maybe. pastel butter pinstripe?

    http://www.worldofballpythons.com/mo...tel-pinstripe/

    with more genes, another pastel:
    http://www.worldofballpythons.com/mo...r-emperor-pin/

    the same with enchi:
    http://www.worldofballpythons.com/mo...tel-pinstripe/

the same with super pastel and enchi:
    http://www.worldofballpythons.com/mo...ire-pinstripe/

but the way this one is going..... Maybe the problem is that we have so many pictures of post-1st-shed hatchlings or subadults and pictures of adults are quite rare? Maybe these just keep getting better over time?

Anyway, i think any combination of a BEL gene (meaning any gene from the blue eye leucistic gene complex, like lesser or butter or mojave or any of the others) and pinstripe is always good, maybe thats just it. Butter and lesser are the strongest genes in that gene complex, and they have a synergy with pinstripe, the whole BEL complex does awesome things with pinstripe. Add a pastel, and maybe they just get better as they get older?

I was leaning towards the Butter influence here as well. Consider that she shed 2 weeks ago. I'll try to get a pic the moment she sheds. Its such a brilliant yellow that I just can't help but look at her everyday.
