Best show off snake or herp?
I love the way that bps look but they aren't really out a lot for me to show off. My question is if you could buy one snake or even herp in general to show off to friends and family and such what would you pick? Why?

BP can be shown if you really want to, you just need to get them out.
But if you want something different I would say carpet.

If you mean a display animal that just looks great in its cage, you can't get much better than an Amazon Basin Emerald Tree Boa
They perch out in the open most of the time and are stunningly beautiful. They aren't really a snake to handle a lot though.

Any suggestions other than tree pythons, I would also like to be able to handle it.

If you want to be able to handle the snake I would suggest a Dumeril's Boa, I think they are great looking snakes and are just about the most laid back snake available. They will dig down into their substrate, but remain visible most of the time.
Here's my little girl as a hatchling: (I really need to take some more pictures of her now that she is bigger)
