    Re: Where to buy herpstat

Great I was worried. Would it be OK for six three ft long flex watt strips?

The intro has 350 Watts Output Power so you should be fine.

Whenever in doubt ask the seller where you get your heat tape from how many watts a 1 foot strip is and multiply by however much you will be using.

It may say that because the intro doesn't have the runaway safety feature. The intro+ does though. It's like $10 more.

    Re: Where to buy herpstat

I ordered the intro plus today from spyder robotics. I'm so relieved to have it taken care of I already have the flex watt and rack built so now this weekend I'll put it all together and be ready for the babies. I'm getting excited today is day 44 on the first clutch yahoo!

It's because they don't have the "Pulse Proportional" mode that some metal racks require. All herpstat models except the herpstat intro and the herpstat intro + have the "Pulse Proportional" mode , So neither the herpstat intro or herpstat intro + are recommended for ARS/Freedom breeder style racks, though to be honest 9 times out of 10 you won't have an issue.
