    Yep, that's what my hairless look like at that "awkward teenage" stage. I like when they're fully hairless myself.

    carlson, a rex X rex = double rex/hairless from what i understand.

    Yep that's what I thought, double Rex's are patchwork from my understanding. I have recessive hairless female and a male that has the recessive gene I believe have to see with breeding. I have Rex x Rex breeding I do all time but I gas them off before they start loseing their hair. Some I've sold as pets that I've seen as adults have patches.

    Double rex is different from hairless. Double rex will always be a little fuzzy, whereas hairless feels like a clammy ballsack.

    More ugly rats

    What are blues called? We have tons of rats and I have no clue about any different types, except hairless of course. Anyone have a page with a good run down of types?

    Yes they are double het rex, I have several and mine range from almost hairless to patchwork. They grow on you but are strange looking little buggars! I get them in different colors to boot, from black to tan to almost white. Also get albinos.
