I LOVE those! I was SO tempted when I saw Ben had those! I didn't know they were so hard to sex, though.

Yea, from what I gather from Skip, the only really way to sex them once they've hatched is to see who does who. There is a way to sex them while still in the egg, but that doesn't help WC ones. Ben got them from a guy named Griphin, and I know this because I met Griphin at the Repticon in Baton Rouge. When I first walked in I ran into Luke Martin and he was like, Neal they have a Rufous Beaked Snake over there. So naturally I had to go check it out and I got to talking to the guy and he said he had like 20 or something(may of been 15, I don't recall exactly) and that Ben bought some from him. He didn't tell me what he paid for them but they had this one priced at $125, so I'm guessing that Ben probably paid $100 a piece then kept them for a little while and priced them at $150. Well long story short, I went there with a set amount of money to avoid spending a lot, and I had everything planned out that I needed, so all I had left spare was $100, so I asked Griphin if he would take $100 and he said yea so that's what I ended up getting my favorite one for(the smallest one). He's the one that isn't afraid of me and comes to my hand when I put it in the tank to do maintenance and what not.

They are very curious and I'll make a video one of these days to show you how aware they are. They follow your hand movements, and my two bigger ones will dodge anything going towards their head with the exception of my nose if I rub the tip of my nose on top of their head. My little one lets you pet his head or under his head.

The two larger can eat fuzzies, but I'm currently out and so I'm just feeding them 2-3 pinkies depending on the size until I get ready to place an order with Big Cheese. The smaller one eats pinkies, normally I give them each 2, but sometimes 3 to the bigger two. When I first got them they wouldn't eat out of their enclosure so I had to put all the pinkies in the tank, but then one of the two larger ones ate all 6. That was the first and last time that happened because now they have to eat in sterilite tubs, with the exception of my smallest who has to eat in the tank, though I'm going to work on that soon.

I'm not 100% sure it was a male, just a bad habit of saying him. I got out of the hobby because I couldn't have snakes at the place I was renting, and now that I'm back and own my house the girl won't sell my snake back to me. lol
