    Congrats on the eggs!!

I'm pretty sure they will all be ready this coming season less the 0.1 PHC and the 0.1 HC..... just a bit too far behind on weight since they were bought in the last few months. I am very excited about the 0.1 Fire 100% Het Clowns.

I talked it over with my husband, and we are also considering starting with a female clown, raising her up, and then putting her to a male superfly. Or, getting a male firefly 100%het clown, and a female pastel 100% het clown. Still up in the air tho..

I heard many breeders say that the clown females seem to take longer to mature for breeding. the same is said about pied females too. I had a pied female that had eggs before she was 21 months old. there are exceptions to every rule.

I have 2 female superflies that I'm raising up for my clown project. I have 2 fireflies that's breeding size right now, but they were already bred before. the one had a clutch already, where I got the superflies from. I'm very picky when it comes to breeding and producing hets. my females stay with that project and bred with nothing else until I'm thru with them in that project. even a female that drops eggs could still retain sperm. email tracy from V.P.I. on this, and she confirmed this. hopefully by the time the superflies are ready, I should have a killer clown and a pastel lesser clown. the clown is my biggest project going right now. we seen just the start of what's going to be produce with the clown gene.

snakelady, if you like the killer clown. imagine that combo with the fire gene added. with this combo it's not what the fire gene does to the clown gene, but what the fire gene does to the pastel gene that's in the killer clown. it's going to be

the last I seen was around 1800. if there's not many produce this summer, it shouldn't drop much. but you never know about this market.
