    Have you ever seen Rifftrax? It's the guys from Mystery Science Theater 3000 doing audio commentary on popular movies, like they used to, but minus the puppets. They did an INCREDIBLE job with Twilight.

    Yeah, that's my swamp. It's a 220g about 1/3 full of water with a lot of plants, tentacled snakes, a reimanni snakeneck turtle, and some reed n' tree frogs. In the water there's also some ropefish and small fancy plecos in the wood.

    Saw another video on youtube of them moving around and a group acting/looking like branches in the water. It was neat and 20 seconds longer cause ya got to see them move.

    @mike- LOL!
    I've taken some video of them moving around the tank before but it was also pretty boring. Maybe I'll get some better stuff. And yeah, they do well in big groups, they twine together. Two of my three frequently do. I'd consider getting more if I could find them but I figure everything is working now so why up the bio-load on the tank?

    I don't think they have/would eat the frogs. A lot of how they hunt is by detecting the movement of fish in the water with their "tentacles" as the fish swim by. I don't think a frog splashing around in the water would do it for them.

    Unlike a bunch of the videos below, mine eat only small guppies. They don't seem interested in larger fish, and ironically silvery fish get ignored so far. I've got a bunch of shiny cheap tetras in there that are slightly larger than the guppies, and they've been in there for months now, even when the guppy population runs low.

If you don't want to be bored, fast forward to around the 1:20 mark; It's like a sarlac but different.

    Pretty interesting snakes IMHO.

    I've NEVER seen mine eat anything nearly that big. They MAY have eaten a female beta that was in there, but it was in there for like 4 months before it disappeared. And it could have just died otherwise or been taken out by the turtle.

    What, with how much they move and all. LOL
    Yes, I have to build myself a hide in the trees for weeks, and scent myself, and set up a motion perimeter just to have a chance!

    Re: Tentacled snake video!

    Just tacking this on here since it's a pic of the setup and I took it last night.

    Also not sure if linking the image location from another forum will work, so it's kind of an experiment.

    Please let me know if the below pic doesn't show. Thanks!

    Sorry for slow response, haven't been on much. It's a starry night reed frog. They have tremendous color variability between individuals, and I'm not 100% sure yet, but they seem to greatly change color based on the light hitting them/what they're sitting on.

    No worries.

    Very cool frogs. Sounds/looks like they are chameleon/amphibian/dalmatians. hehe.
