    Question to the OP:

Why does it seem like something that would be illegal?

You can order lion in some places perfectly legally.

Snakes seems to me to be a very...stupid source of food though, to farm. But that's just my farming childhood talking. I've raised (And butchered myself) rabbits and chickens for food. And enjoyed them! But snakes...I can see hunting them wild, but farming snakes for meat is just not smart, economically. lol

The rattler is spendy on there. I gotta cousin that eats it couple times a month, him an his AF buddies always are hunting so if they find rattle snakes they will take a few for the post hunt meal. I would try the python not spendy either but its two pop cans worth so not a ton. Wonder if its burms or balls ha

It's rather my opinion that it would be. To me, eating a python would be like a cat lover eating it cat. I couldn't sum myself up to do it, but to each their own.
Albeit these may be the same pythons hunted for skin too, OR it IS likely they may, in fact, be royal pythons. (More likely than not.)

I'd try it, can't be too picky. Would I eat a snake that I own...no...would I eat a burmese from the everglades, or rattle snake, or if i was hungry enough in a survival situation and i had tons of garter snakes in my yard, I would eat them...

I'm a dog lover. I love my dogs more than any other pet and more than most people. Id still like to try dog meat though. (Not my dogs tho. Haha). Dogs are bred as food in some countries. It doesn't bother me because I know we eat animals that are considered taboo elsewhere too and that each country is different.

^^^This! I really don't understand why people have issues with eating some types of animals, yet they don't have a second thought when it comes to chowing down on a burger lol. It's just a different combination of meat and fat Why should you have a conscience when it comes to choosing a beef-burger over a snake-burger?
