The first time I ever flew, I was 18 and going by myself to Georgia. I was so excited to fly though, so I can't emphasize with you. xD Honestly it's not that bad at all, I spent the entire trip glued to the window like a kid (and weirded out the businessman who sat net to me on the way there, lol).

Bring headphones and music on your phone; you should have an "airplane" setting on it that shuts off the functionality without you having to physically turn off your phone.
