    Platinums Prices Questioned

Can anyone please send a pic of a good to fabulous Platinum? I see ridiculous prices on these sweet looking snakes that make me balk to say the least. LOL.

Craigslist ads I see as small re home fee listed; 900 - 1400 gram male for 300 at least. 400 I have also see this advertised. Am I crazy? Or this accurate?

You mean a lesser platinum? I think the one that Ralph Davis produced is slightly different than the common Lessers you see today.

$300 to $400 for a male lesser isn't that unreasonable. I've seen baby males go for as low as $200.

    Lessers are lesser platinums.
All lessers, if true to their breeding and not otherwise noted, are all descended from RDR's animals.

    Platinums Prices Questioned

Are you asking about Lesser Platinums (aka Lessers) or the Platty Daddy (aka Platinum)? The distinction is important...

    Re: Platinums Prices Questioned

I paid A LOT for my lesser platinum three years ago. He did a complete color change. His dark brown spider pattern turned a light sand color, nearly all his lesser yellow is gone. Hes very washed out and pretty.

    Re: Platinums Prices Questioned

I'd say for that price you're looking at a Lesser Platinum.

Here are a couple of pics from Chad Hulker showing the difference between a Platinum and a Lesser Platinum. Platinum versions are to the left.

This one is comparing and Emperor Pinstripe (Lesser Pastel Pinstripe) to a Platiator (Platinum Pastel Pinstripe)
