I actually saw a true hog island pair for 285$, Thinking of buying them. Thats about what I paid for this guy.
Yes if you breed him to a hog island you will have some sunsets. However nothing will be "pure hog island" from that breeding. It will be normals, hypos, and sunsets.
I have three 2012 boas. One of my males is at 3 feet ish, eating medium rats. The other two are smaller, at about foot and a half or two feet and eating smalls. They are both from the same breeder though ( one male and one female).
$265 for a pure pair is good, about the going price. Pure hog islands are not to common and often are a percentage of hog island.
Going back to your desired length realize that hog island will grow over 4 feet more than likely. As stated I have a female that was measured at 6 foot but I honestly think is about 7-7 1/2 feet. She is a pure hog island also, no mixing.

Ok. After reading your answers Im no longer to concerned with length over 4 foot. They dont seem to get to fat either if you dont overfeed them. If I breed a super sunset to a hog what will the offspring be?

This is Miss. Piggy. She is my '06 female pure hog island. The smaller snake in the picture is my '10 male Hog island. This is a Iris brand VE175 tub.

This is her in my arms for an idea of width.

She eats an ex-breeder rat every two weeks and weighs 26 pounds. Not trying to scare you I'm a 5'2" female and can handle her, just explaining that they do become large in their own right. Especially if you were thinking about 4 feet as your limit.
I mistyped previously about how to make a sunset.
Hypo bci x Hog Island = dh sunset (hypo hog island)
dh sunset x dh sunset = Sunset
I hope that makes sense.
