    Get a dobie!
A dobie will probably do better in Arizona than a GSD. lol.
Our GSD is always dying in the heat.
    Or get a belgian malinois!

Not that their is anything wrong with labs, but a Doberman is a Doberman! Did you crop?
Careful about taking her out. Make sure she gets her Parvo shots at the very least first.

I love cropped ears. Do you know what kind of crop you want?
I personally like the show crop (to the very tip of the ear). I like mediums also, but on females only. The medium crop looks too short and small on an adult male's head.

Ours is sadly not cropped. We didn't have any reputable cropper vet in the area and the closest good one was a few hours away. We couldn't commit to driving the dog a few hours a week for 3-6 months to get her ears posted and bandages changed.
And since the one is our area was really bad, we would rather keep the natural ears than have them butchered.

I should make a new thread with an update.

Take lots of pictures of your pup! They grow up so fast!
