Surprisingly enough he has not refused a meal yet during this 2 week ordeal. But I will wait until talking to the vet on Monday. He may not be happy with me for holding out on him, but I'm sure it's it's best for him.

Eating could irritate the area and cause another flare-up. I'd definitely hold out so that it isn't swollen at the appointment and maybe the issue can be spotted easier.
