If that's how the law reads then technically you could win a lawsuit... wouldn't be worth it, though.

This guy with the snakes moved into a private community with it's own rules that he didn't know about.
For the rest of us living in the 'freedom' of the good ol USA, you have county, city, state, and federal laws or restrictions or permit requirements and sometimes there are just plain ignorant enforcement officers so it's REALLY up to each individual to be sure they have checked everywhere they need to. Having an UP TO DATE copy of any regulations or permit requirements on hand might also be beneficial if you want to go that far.
Being lowkey and not cleaning tubs in your front yard is also something you may want to avoid.
I may not be very smart, but what if I am?

Wait, is he renting, or does he own his house? They said "in his basement". The whole reason I wanted to buy a house was so I wouldn't have to worry about a landlord freaking out about snakes.

Local breeder screwed over by neighbors!
Ok one part of this dudes story bugs the crap outta me now that I'm starting to see it all over the dam place. He keeps saying all 29 of his boas are 12k a piece an a 100k room. I don't believe those numbers one bit, since this guy is on this thread. Please show me five 12k boas would love to see five of them. I just feel like such bs comes from this dudes mouth the more I read on this.
Normals 1.3

That last line is just wrong.
Be lowkey and avoid cleaning tubs in your front yard.
Much better.
