got a deal on my first rack and have some questions for you!

I can't even describe how stoked I am! I picked up my very first rack today! it's got 5 28qt tubs with belly heat.... craig's list price $150! it works too! i've got to get a thermostat before I put my first (and only) ball in his new home. Any recommendations for a good t-stat??? and any recommendations for my first morphs? keep in mind I've only got 4 drawers and am not in a rush to fill them but also don't need the most expensive morphs to start! Here's the pictures from the ad.... I haven't set it up yet but when its snake ready I'll share more! [IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

u should just get a herp stat 1 they are awesome. and get a female Mojave, or cinnamon. unless you want something different to show your friends then go with something like a spider or pin if your going for a inexpensive morph.

    I LOVE my herpstat (I have a herpstat 2).

As for what morphs to get, I would buy 2-3 females and save your 4th slot for a 2-4 gene male in the future. Let your girls grow up and buy a boy in a couple of years!

I would buy some basic female morphs like pinstripe, mojave, enchi, spider, lesser/butter, or even a pastel. Once you have your females, think about what you want to produce and then look for a 2-4 gene male that compliments your girls.

the second pic looks like the tub will be sliding over the flexwatt and will be making contact. flexwatt is thin and not design for this. I would use something to place over the flexwatt where the tub will rub. something that has good heat tranfer and will help protect it. something like roof flashing. very thin metal.

I also would use a herpstat. good luck in picking out your morph. don

T-Stat- VE series from Reptile Basics
Morph- depends on your budget and future plans? If you might want to breed I would get females first.
Second covering that flex-a-watt, aluminum tape will help you out there.
