I know how you feel I started with a 20 long but now use rack which stays stable on its own with the right size water dish. But in the meantime with my 20 long I started using a damp rag over half of the top, as long as I kept the rag damp with che over the other end of the enclosure it balanced very well. Much more work though you will really appreciate that rack system.
