I am also a huge alien fan, but when movies have really big holes in them it irritates me. IE: Oh look, there's a giant ship falling from the sky, it landed perfectly on edge, with zero damage and completely able to roll perfectly...RUN OMG RUN, let's run directly in it's path!! OMG I TRIPPED!!! WHAT DO I DO?! *rolls* whew!
ACK! It's going to fall! It's crushing rocks and earth everywhere I'm dooooomed! Oh look, a slight rock coming up from the ground saved me!

The story is awesome, it's just some of the overly dramatic scenes that irritate me.
