Starting to get real fed up with my snake not eating.

This has been the 1st time my snake has been off feed, he hasn't eaten in almost 2 months now. What am I supposed to do. Temps and humidity are good. I really hate having to buy rats that I just have to throw out because he wont eat them, anything that works for getting a snake back on feed?

Don't buy rats. Try and offer like once a month. As long as he doesn't lose too much weight, you're fine.

I think mike meant "live" darn you autocorrect!!

If your snake is an adult male, this is pretty typical. Don't worry, he will start eating again soon.

He should go back soon. i had a few males fasting and in the past 2 weeks they all started eating again except one. he's been off feed since september and doing fine. so 2 months is nothing to worry about.

My normal has been off fed since February. When I weighed him on February 16th he was 874 grams, I weighed him the other day he came in at 883 grams.

Re: Starting to get real fed up with my snake not eating.

My female gave me a REALLY hard time... She was around 2,700 grams and went off feed for almost 9 months...l, she went down to around 1800 grams. Her temps and humidity were fine she just stopped eating. Almost every ball goes on a feeding strike at least once, some longer than others. It's one of the "joys" of keeping them. Njust try and feed live once every 3-4 weeks. When he gets hungry hell eat.
