Re: Questions! :)
Great topic. I'm asking some of these questions and have a caging post going. I'm very glad to hear boas are much more active (in general) than the Royals. I like my son's snake, but the food refusal and hiding 24/7 sort of took the fascination of watching snakes away because I never see her. Now that she is not feeding, I only see her when we handle her. I love to take her out, but seeing them in their enclosure even if it's just lying motionless is so much more exciting to me.
Male Colombian BCI sounds perfect for both of us.
Lots of good help here!!

Now time to narrow what type of morph I want..... lol! I actually got my bearded dragon when she was 6 inches long and considered the "runt" and now shes pushing 17 inches!!! Its so fun to see your little baby's growing up! Bobbafett... WOW. That enclosure looks absolutely stunning! and your BCI is adorable lol Since you have both ball pythons and boas which do you prefer if you could only have one snake?
Thank you!
I would pick boas hands down. My BPs are nice snakes, but my boas are so much more interactive and they never have a problem feeding nor do they stress if I choose to handle them - in fact, they love to come out and play, then gobble up dinner that night!

Questions! :)
I love my bps a lot and most of mine are fairly active when out of their cage, but I LOVE my boa.
He never misses a meal, and even when he's hiding, he is still halfway out of his hide.
He's just such a joy !

yes lol. evenstar will give you a better answer. i'm still learning but the jungle gene gives aberrancies in pattern and a creamy pale color. Good examples are very nice imo however there are quite a few that I wouldn't recognize as a jungle. so just be careful who or where you get one from. incase you ever decide to breed this might help. or even just help learn your morphs.

H.o.F.R. you did a great job describing the jungle!!
http://www.blumenboas.com/boamorphs.htm This site shows some good pictures of some well-known morphs. Mid-way down there is a good picture of a high quality jungle. But HoFR is right - not all jungles are easy to spot. Some are very low expression and look a lot like normals to someone who is not experienced with that morph. And a lot of high expressions aren't available, or if they are, they are quite expensive.
A few "affordable" morphs that are generally easy to find are albinos, hypos, anerys, pastels, and low-expression jungles.
Midrange morphs that are still pretty easy to come by and not too outrageously priced are sunglows, arabesques, and motleys.
Higher priced morphs that are also harder to find are snows, moonglows, bloods, leopards, and high-expression jungles.

If you'd like to, go for it. If given the space, boas love to climb!
