I dont want to get it illegally. Even thought its complete bs we all have to follow the law. All we can do is try to educate people little by little about snakes. Any chance i get to talk to a stranger about snakes i do it. Even the smallest piece of CORRECT information you give to somebody not even involved with snakes can still help the hobby.

    Burms in Illinois

Actually it's the burm, yellow anaconda, and north and south African rock pythons...

OP: perhaps try Craigslist? I haven't seen any burms at any of the Tinley shows in the past 3 shows or so. I don't attend the AAE in Wheaton so I can't attest to anything there.

I wouldn't try to smuggle one across state lines. Yes, chances are you're not going to get caught, but you can be dang sure that if you did, Sen. Salazar would make sure an example is made of you. I don't think a burm is worth being a felon...

Have you thought about checking local rescues?

So what if u legally own a burm and have to move to another state for a job and both states it is ok to own them?

I wasn't really advocating obtaining it illegally just throwing it out there that I'm sure it could be done..

Nope - still can't move it accross the border at that point.
