Same here, I treat every snake through the door with the reptile spray, then again three days later, and if it all seems good I wait and treat once more when QT is over. Mites are tricky little monsters. I know they don't live on rats, but I do believe if the pet store's husbandry isn't good and they have a bad case of mites, and/or they transfer the uneaten rat back into the feeder cage, they can still grab a ride on a rat, or travel-lay eggs-hatch and hitchhike in on a feeder. While not typical in a decent store, I truly think it's possible. Just my opinion though

I went to a big box pet store one night and then went across the road to Hobby Lobby.

As I was checking out, a snake mite walked down the cuff of my coat onto my hand.

Thankfully, nobody else saw it or they would have thought I had "cooties" or something.

I was horrified.
