I think any of you should try out anything you have an interest in. How else to learn? Obviously the read and regurge method is wrong.
All this 'do that, don't do that' crap is just a load of someone else's bad time, or just plain fear and ignorance, being heaped upon those who know no better.
If something works, great. If it doesn't, don't do that again. How simple can it get?
I may not be very smart, but what if I am?

That's all fine and good until animals are dead because of poorly thought out or poorly excuted plans. With enough knowledge many things can be done that may be risky, by lowering the risk with that knowledge. Keeping a bunch of ball pythons in a cage together just so you have a larger collection is wrong, imo. I'm not saying it can't be done. I just think it shouldn't.

I think the simple answer for a entry level keeper should always be no. As for a crabby old grouchbag of a keeper like yourself I have no problem with you trying new and different things.
Fixed it for you.
If the question is - can two ball pythons be kept together? - the answer is not "no". It is simply that it requires more space and time and money and experience than keeping them separately. It can be pointed out that without experience and the requisite husbandry skill, that there are risks involved.
A beginner should be given an accurate picture of what is involved. The idea is to educate someone new to the hobby in such a way that they do not get into a situation that they do not fully understand. Telling them that it cannot be done is incorrect.

I don't keep any of my reptiles or inverts together. Skip laid it all out for you quite nicely. Its too much work and I feel that I wouldn't be able to provide everything needed. Its not for me but I know several people who succeed quite nicely. It really is an often repeated question and I always have a bag of popcorn handy because it makes for great reading. Don't let any responses deter you from asking questions though. Its up to you what advice is relevant because lots of people love to regurgitate "fact" at you. Live and learn

Keeping BPs Together???
Skip when housing two together would you use more of a tank/display type set up or just real big tubs? Just wondering that never thought of doing it but information is always good to gain. I know a dude that keeps his breeding boas together all year round but their in a display cage that takes up a good chunk of his wall is like 10x7x3 it's huge an they both seem great health friendly as can be. Not gonna lie the two snakes in a well done display can look real cool I'm just sure i don't have the space or resources to try I would like to know more from the guys who do it like see their set ups and all but I understand can't make anyone show me anything. just skip an wilomn you two seem to have the experience with this that most us are lacking.

I'm not a boa guy.
With arboreal colubrids, they are kept in large arboreal cages. Thrasops and rhamnophis in 4x4x2 cages with overhead RHPs, a ton of branches and several hanging birds nests at various levels. I have my pair of p. poecilonotus in a a 6'x4'2' cage and my spilotes pair in a cage of the same size.
P. Olfersii are kept in a 4'x3'x2' cage - same with p. viridissimus.
For comparision, single adult olfersii are housed in 30"x20"x20" arboreal cages.

Any chance you could post some pics of this setup? No real interest in doing it myself but it sounds awesome. They use the birds nests as hides? How do you feed them?
He said he's not a BOA guy, nick. Not a bad guy lol.
