Sorry, but how can you tell from that picture?? The color is not clear enough to make that determination. Just because an animal is pinkish does not make it a hypo and there are distinct black rings around her tail saddles. The back saddles are somewhat butterfly shaped, but not significantly so. I would want to see a different picture that wasn't completely washed out in orange before making that call. I'm not questioning your judgment, I just want to know what's making you say that.

To the OP - even normals het albino can go for around $100 US. Not quite sure what that translates to in CAN, but I'd say it's probably about the going rate. If this snake does prove to be a hypo, then, yes, you're getting a very good deal!! No matter what, this is a nice animal and I think you made a pretty nice find!

Edit: Daybreaker, I'm sorry. That sounded a bit harsh and I didn't mean it to be. I hope you know from previous threads that I usually agree with you and always respect your opinion. I'm still on a few pain meds after my recent surgery and sometimes things don't come out the way I mean them to, lol. I'd just like to know what features are standing out to you as hypo in this snake so all of us, including the OP, can learn. Thanks!!

Not a problem, and I simply say she's a hypo because that's what I see and you pointed out the exact reasons why I believe she's a hypo (I bolded your words that I agree with). Along with those a lot of hypos (not all mind you, my own hypo is very peppered) are very clean and she just doesn't have the look of a normal or otherwise IMO. Regardless of the darken photos that aren't in direct sunlight I still see 100% hypo in that snake.

Ok! Thanks for explaining - and understanding, lol. I'll look forward to seeing clearer pictures of her when the OP gets her.

    Re: Sunglow?

Looks like a crappy pic of a decent looking salmon, which is a line of hypos. My first boa/snake ever was a salmon het albino which gave birth 2 weeks after I got it to 27 babies. a nice mix of hypos het albino, sunglows, and albinos. the term double het sunglow is incorrect to me. it should be hypo het sunglow indicating that it is a hypo and het for albino. which is what it takes to make a sunglow. hypo is a co-dom gene so there is no het for it. that is my complaint with the boa worlds naming system. lol

Same, and if the snake turns out to the farthest thing from a hypo I'll gladly admit my wrong

LoL!! And if it turns out to be the most obvious hypo the planet has ever seen, I'll do likewise!

And that is my complaint with the boa world's naming system too. Love how you put that!
