I was changing Oliver's substrate today and doing some rearranging. I left him on my bed, right in my peripheral and he just sat there, periscoping over the box of newsprint and watching me. He was pretty polite and didn't wander off before I put him back.

He stares pretty intently from his hides. If I look at him, he moves his head in whatever direction I move mine.

Mine does this a lot too. I'll bring her out sometimes when we have the hookah going. She likes to climb up the hookah hose and coil herself around the hose and my hand while she rests her head on my hand.

Both of mine do this from their hides. Or when they come out for a drink they will stop and stare. Of course they don`t have eyelids so it`s not like they can blink.
