Most large rats I've seen for sale at multiple venus (small pet shops, private breeders, and expos) the large rats are too big for ball pythons unless you've got a 4000g ball python. Most larges are fed to RTBs, carpets, bloods, and young retics and burmese.

That said, if you've only been feeding her 2 mice every 10 days, she's probably a little thin. So, she may need something smaller like a weaned rat. Could you show us a picture of her and a weight? That will help us out to determine what and how often she should be eating.
As for your original question, don't hold her until at least 24-48 hours after a meal. She's probably hungry.

If I want to handle a snake after it eats, I handle it, old school rumors of regurgitating are just that, rumors.
If a snake regurges after a meal it's got other issues causing it, not the handling.
The fact is most ball pythons prefer to sit on their hot spot to start digesting their meals, so I tend to leave them alone after they eat.

IV always fed medium to large rats to my adults with no problems one was a 1600g male and the other was a 2500g female but the rats were between medium and large and my feeding were every two weeks. But I wouldn't handle for atleast 24 hours even if active...

I've fed "large" 200+ gram rats to my biggest girls before without issue (2200+ grams)

You have to base your food off of the snake's weight. I would get a gram scale from walmart and weigh the snake. You can feed 10-15% of the snake's body weight.

Correct. The 10-15% rule is just for babies and juvies.
