This was in the early 90's...they sucked. If you squeezed the handles of the pliers hard enough they would nearly touch. And that's where the skin of your palm ended up when they slipped off something...design fail...

Nope...like I said, they were notorious! They had less than half the gap shown there, at best...they were also a little more flimsy from what I remember...my old Leatherman currently resides at the bottom of the Caribbean off the coast of Cuba...I picked up a Gerber at a stop in Gitmo one time and gave my Leatherman a burial at sea shortly afterwards...

This made me lol, haha. I can see why you'd switch. I'd have probably done the same thing.

    Yup.

I was going to link page on Amazon, but it wouldn't. Must be different on this phone and I can't figure it out.

Yup. For you i'd recommend a black izula with the bright green paracord.
    Maybe something like this?

here is my collection so far. Not in the picture is the leatherman juice which resides in the car and I take it with me to work. I try to edc many of each of these blade one in a while but most time I find myself just grabbing my keys and using the small spyderco on there. I have a little rust on my izula, any idea how to remove it safely without damaging the blade?
