    Eyes are blue and if he is getting dull I would say pre-shed for sure. They can get a bit nippy during that time so make sure your son is well aware Mario may strike at him.
    Time to bump up the humidity in his cage. You can offer food if you want. Some will eat and others won't during the shed cycle. Once his eyes clear up he should be back to normal and looking fine in 48 hours or so.

    Nice to see a younger generation interesting in these amazing animals.
